Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Review, understand, and interpret according to the designs, specifications, and detailed information accompanying the construction plans that have already been approved by the project.
  2. Control to ensure that the construction work is in accordance with the contract, designs, specifications, and the list that has already been approved by the project.
  3. Supervise and inspect to ensure that the construction contractors perform their work meticulously, correctly according to engineering principles, and follow proper construction procedures.
  4. Examine and consider proposals for the approval of shop drawings and as-built drawings submitted by the construction contractors.
  5. Inspect and evaluate the proposal of information for the approval of construction materials and equivalent items from the construction contractors.
  6. Check the quality testing of construction materials by the contractors to ensure correctness according to the designs and specifications.
  7. Decide and instruct necessary quality testing of materials, and recommend testing procedures and methods.
  8. Order a temporary halt to the contractor’s work in specific areas if it is found to potentially cause damage to the construction work or poses a danger to life and property, and report to the project manager for solutions.
  9. Address and resolve immediate problems that may arise during construction to prevent damage to the work.
  10. Check and instruct technical personnel to prepare an inventory and cost estimate of the construction materials used by the contractors, both those already used in construction and those not yet used.
  11. Review the quantity and work performance proposed by the construction contractors, and submit it to the project manager for consideration for payment requests, checking against the actual work performed on-site.

Experience

3 – 5 years

Qualifications

  • Experienced in construction work, high-rise buildings, hotels, shopping malls, and government projects.
  • Possess a professional license.
  • Ability to communicate in English is highly considered.
  • Able to start work immediately is highly considered.
