Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Review, understand, and interpret designs, specifications, and detailed information accompanying construction plans to ensure construction progresses smoothly and to check for any conflicts that might arise as problems or obstacles on the construction site. Also, consider and prepare for any necessary corrections in advance to prevent them from becoming obstacles to the progress of the work.
  2. Control the construction work to ensure it is in accordance with the contract, designs, detailed specifications, and the list that has already been approved by the project.
  3. Supervise and inspect the construction contractors to ensure their work is meticulous, adheres to technical principles, and follows the correct construction procedures.
  4. Review and consider proposals for the approval of construction drawings and details during construction (Shop Drawing) and the actual construction drawings (As-Built Drawings) submitted by the contractors.
  5. Examine and propose information for the approval of the use of construction materials and equivalent items from the contractors.
  6. Inspect and test the quality of materials as necessary and recommend testing procedures and methods.
  7. Suggest ordering a halt to specific parts of the contractor’s work if it is deemed that continuing could cause damage to the construction or pose a danger to life and property, and then report to the project manager for resolution.
  8. Address and resolve immediate problems that may arise during construction to prevent damage to the work.
  9. Inspect and instruct technical personnel to prepare an inventory and cost estimate of the construction materials used by the contractors, both those already used in construction and those not yet used.
  10. Check the quantity and work performance proposed by the construction contractors and submit it to the project manager for consideration for payment requests, verifying against the actual work performed on-site.

3 – 5 years

Qualifications

  • Experienced in construction work, high-rise buildings, hotels, shopping malls, and government projects.
  • Possess a professional license.
  • Ability to communicate in English is highly considered.
  • Able to start work immediately is highly considered.
